In 1972 Haig Tacorian started in the jewelry business after moving to the United States from Romania. He worked as a salesman for a jewelry manufacturing company for three years.

In 1975 he started his own company called B & T Jewelers with his wife Gilda. For 12 years he designed and manufactured onyx and pearl jewelry.

In 1990 Haig changed the company name to Tacori. Since then he has been manufacturing vintage style engagement rings and is one of the first to reintroduce the vintage style
